Dr.Masaichi was a physichian and pathologist, who thru his research became interested in tattooed skin, collecting donated "hides" between 1926-1956. During his time he amassed a collection of 2000 skins, though only 105 survive now due to air raid bombings from world war 2 in Japan. The remaining collection lives at the Pathology Museum of Tokyo University. This shirt is a homage to his passion and contributions to tattoo history.
